Gong Sound Meditation - Leafield Studio Dates
Join us for a relaxing sound meditation with gongs in our dedicated studio in Leafield, where we provide soft mats, pillows and blankets to ensure the most comfortable experience.
We also offer private 1:1 or small group sessions - please get in touch with claire@intunewellbeing.co.uk for more information.
Also known as a "gong bath", this experience simply involves lying down, getting cosy and comfortable and then closing your eyes to focus on the mysterious, yet deeply calming sounds of the gongs and other soothing sounds.
By immersing yourself in the complex sound vibrations of the gongs your mind slows down and you're able to achieve a feeling of deep relaxation that is often hard to reach in our busy modern lives. Physically, the soundwaves from the gongs vibrate the water within our bodies which helps to activate the natural relaxation processes of our nervous system. Afterwards you should feel an overall sense of calm and focus as well as a reduction in stress levels. Often people experience improvement in their sleep.
The session lasts around 75 minutes which includes time to settle before we start and some herbal tea at the end.
Limited spaces are available so booking is essential.
What to Bring
We provide thick comfortable mats, blankets and pillows so you don’t need to bring anything unless you want to. Our studio is small so please keep bags and other belongings to a minimum. You might want to bring a water bottle for after - but we can provide water.
Contraindications
- Pregnancy - women in their first trimester should not attend a sound bath.
- Bone fractures - we recommend people wait 6 weeks for any bones to knit together before attending a sound bath.
- Implants/Metal Plates/Pacemakers - please get in touch to discuss suitability
- Coughs and heavy colds - please don’t come along if you’re showing these symptoms or have had a positive covid test
- Hearing aids - we recommend removing your hearing aid before the gong bath - some frequencies can cause the heating aid to buzz or whine.
- Prior diagnosis by a health professional of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
- Over 16s only please unless by prior arrangement. (16-18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.)
Cancellations
Please honour our time and if you need to cancel your booking let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer places to people on our waiting list, ideally with at least 7 days notice. Our capacity is small, so it really does make a difference if you don’t turn up. Thank you. For more information refer to our full cancellation policy at the bottom of this page.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATORS
In Tune Wellbeing

Claire is a mindfulness and nature connection coach, forest bathing guide, gong practitioner and certified EcoNidra teacher. She leads Forest Bathing sessions in and around the Cotswolds as well as running regular sound baths in her studio in Leafield along with her husband Dan. In the summer months they love to take the gongs outdoors for a unique gongs in nature experience.

Dan is the Creative Director for a company that makes educational apps but his passion has always been music and sound. As a musician, he became interested in the healing capacity of sound when his mum was unwell with Alzheimers and was fascinated by the way in which he could use sound to reach her, even towards the end of her illness. He subsequently trained with the College of Sound Healing as a gong practitioner and is very much involved in the sound healing arm of In Tune Wellbeing - you can find him over on instagram @intune_gongs
