After collaborating in the first edition of Larnaca Biennale with Tina Agency , we present a second edition of a choreographic project and performance. 

International Platform for Emerging Development (IPED) is an idea that was originated during OPENFLR, a project that was created and directed by Valeria Cosi and Giacomo Della Marina in between 2013 and 2017 in Florence. A ten days residency where a choregrapher meets local and international young professional performers and ,working on the Larnaca Biennale Theme, Limitless Limits , develops a first choreographic capsule that will be presented on Sunday, November 21st at the Larnaca Municipal Theatre. 

During the Larnaca Biennale 2021 , Italian performance artist , choreographer and dancer Federica Dauri  lead a 10 day workshop with 8 local and international professional dancers that lead to a creative process and performance, that aims at reflecting on the meaning of the body not only on a personal level but overall on a social level.

In this long period of absence from performative and scenic practice, Federica Dauri wondered a lot about the role of the body in this complex historical moment. The image of those solitary bodies relegated in their homes. The dead bodies, the distant bodies seen as a threat, lived in private and deprived of any contact.

Are the bodies an extraordinary and complex machine that keeps human beings alive and allows them to perform actions, or the vehicle through which they express what they are? Bodies are objects—not only mechanical and not only personal or subjective, but above all social. Bodies are sensitive, they are memory, they are time and flesh, they are material and immaterial. Finally, bodies are also the surface of the indelible signs of the passage of time and the history of each person is inscribed on. 

Following the performance a round table conversation will take place between the audience , the choreographer and the participants in regards to the workshop and the whole creative process.

Η Biennale Larnaca και το Tina Agency σας προσκαλούν σε μια μοναδική χορευτική παράσταση με 8 επαγγελματίες χορευτές από την Κύπρο και το εξωτερικό στα πλαίσια των παράλληλων εκδηλώσεων της Larnaca Biennale 2021

Η εν λόγω παράσταση θα πραγματοποιηθεί με την λήξη του δωρεάν 10-ημερου εργαστηρίου/ σεμιναρίου χορού που πραγματοποιείται από τις 10 Νοεμβρίου μέχρι τις 20 Νοεμβρίου στην σχολή χορού Deborah's school of Russian Ballet/Contemporary and Character από την διάσημη performance artist και χορογράφο Federica Dauri (Ιταλία) και τον συνιδρυτή του Tina Agency και χορογράφο Giacommo Della Marina (Ιταλία) και στο οποίο οι 8 επαγγελματίες χορευτές επιλέγηκαν να συμμετέχουν.

Στο τέλος της παράστασης η χορογράφος Federica Dauri  και οι χορευτές θα μοιραστούν την εμπειρία του εργαστηρίου και θα προσκαλέσουν όσους από το κοινό έχουν επαγγελματικό ενδιαφέρον για τον χορό να συμμετέχουν σε μια δημιουργική συζήτηση για την μέθοδο χορογραφίας.

To iPED αποτελεί την συνέχεια του προγράμματος OPENFLR που πραγματοποιήθηκε με μεγάλη επιτυχία στην πρώτη έκδοση της Λάρνακα Μπιενάλε το 2018.

Το iPED ως δράση και συνέχεια του OPENFLR έχει ως πρωταρχικό σκοπό μέσω ειδικών μαθημάτων και σεμιναρίων συγχρόνου χορού να δίνει την δυνατότητα ανέλιξης , δικτύωσης και συμμετοχής σε παραστάσεις του εξωτερικού σε επαγγελματίες χορευτές οι οποίοι προέρχονται από χώρες που έχουν ελάχιστη πρόσβαση σε τέτοιου είδους ευκαιρίες.
