Stunner: Film screening premier in Manchester
Join us in person for the Manchester premier of Stunner, a film about Ukraine, love, war, fashion, football, and Macclesfield.
Serge and Polina met through a shared love of vintage football shirts, fashion and photography. Since opening their dream business in Kyiv in 2022, their path has been winding, navigating business, love and friendships to the backdrop of the Russian invasion. Somehow, they found their way to Macclesfield. This is their story.
The film, offers a unique perspective for students of fashion, sport, and place to explore the interrelationships between these threads, which have been spun together so expertly by director by Thomas Broadhead.
The film will be followed by a short panel discussion and Q&A with Serge Shcherbyna, Polina Vynohradova, Thomas Broadhead as well as Danny Orwin (Lecturer in Fashion Communication), Dr Nikos Ntounis (Senior Lecturer in Marketing).
The screening, panel and Q&A will be chaired by Professor Cathy Parker.
