IRIS Connect Community Exchange Doncaster: Development Beyond Your Specialism

How do you develop teachers in specialisms beyond your expertise?

It's a challenge every school leader and coach faces. A T&L lead observes an A level chemistry lesson. A primary subject lead supports colleagues in a subject they never trained in. A coach helps a teacher whose classroom looks nothing like their own. Subject expertise matters, but no one person can hold it all. So how do you make sure every teacher gets development that's meaningful for what they teach?

Join fellow IRIS Connect schools from across the region for an inspiring afternoon at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy, exploring exactly this question.

You’ll hear about other schools’ approaches, get the chance to discuss ideas and exchange experiences over table discussions, and hear directly from IRIS Connect about the latest developments on our platform and how it can support you with this challenge.

Numbers are kept small to make sure there's real time for conversation, so book early to secure your place. Free to attend.
