Webinar descriptions:
Forest School as Gaeilge
Join Lisa on this webinar for a fun, relaxed interactive evening of learning and exploration of the Irish language. No matter where you are with the language, you will leave this talk having more confidence as well as practical ways to incorporate Irish in your forest school sessions.
Lisa Ní Dhomhnaill who lives and works in the gaeltacht in Connemara has a background in youth work and recently completed the Forest School Leadership course in Brigit’s Garden. She facilitates mindfulness groups through Irish with primary school children and promotes the use of the language in a fun way through storytelling & puppets with preschool children.
Nature in Irish myths and folklore
In our second webinar Carol will share some Irish myths and folktales that embody the natural world and also offer resources on where to find all these juicy tales.
Carol Barrett is a Forest School leader, storyteller and a natural crafter from Co. Galway where she runs Down To Earth Forest School. Carol is the lead tutor in the certificate of Forest School leadership training and is passionate about bringing people outside to experience nature and to explore our rich cultural heritage and traditions related to the natural world.
Peer to peer starting and running your own Forest School Business
Our 3rd Spring webinar is going to be a ‘peer to peer starting and running your own Forest School Business’ session. There will be some Finance chat to kick us off at the start and then there will be a number of experienced Forest School leaders leading breakout groups, from Early Years, to primary school-based Forest School to independent practitioners.
The main aim of this webinar is to create a space for peer to peer sharing about starting up and running a Forest School business. Bios will be shared in advance so you can decide which breakout group you’d like to take part in.
There is no need to have a forest school business to attend this webinar, everyone is welcome to share your knowledge, so please come along and share your wealth of experience.
This ticket will give you access to all 3 webinars. Please put the dates in your diary and save the zoom link!
See you soon,
