IFSA Annual Gathering 2023

Theme: Rewilding our Forest Communities - reflecting on how we can rewild ourselves, our practice and our green spaces.

Dear members and friends,

We are delighted to welcome you to our fifth Annual Gathering and AGM in West Cork town of Leap. We hope to use this opportunity to gather in community with each other and with nature to deepen our awareness of the powerfulness of the Forest School approach to making our world a better place for all sentient beings. We extend a special welcome to new members and to those of you joining us for the first time.

We also extend our thanks to all of the conference ACORN, to CECAS and the staff and to nature for her abundant beauty and constant inspiration to us all.

At this year’s gathering:
- Keynote speaker Eoghan Daltun, author of “An Irish Atlantic Rainforest: A Personal Journey Into the Magic of Rewilding”
- 4 CPD workshops which will run twice concurrently (attendees select 2 of 4 options)
- Evening entertainment and community campfire
- IFSA AGM
- Panel discussion
- Skillshares

Calling all Musicians! Please bring your instruments and email Kate at dulracilldara@gmail.com as she is coordinating and co-creating “the band” and will be in touch beforehand.

Decor: Want to help bring wild decor to our lovely venue? We welcome you adding any willow decorations, garlands, bunting, fabrics and natural decorations to enhance the beauty of our indoor and outdoor spaces for our visit.

Cost: (includes vegetarian lunch on Saturday and Sunday, vegetarian dinner on Saturday evening, tea and coffee throughout, evening activity and campfire, IFSA membership until May 2024)

- Current IFSA members €150 (Early bird €125 until 26th May)

- Non-members: €180; (Early Bird €150 until 26th May)

- Current FS trainees/ third level students (on presentation of card) €135 (Early bird €115 until 26th May) .

There is accommodation on site, which is limited and is offered first come basis. Accommodation is offered for Friday and/or Saturday nights.

- Bed and breakfast, single room /shared bathroom €45 per person per night

- Bed and breakfast, 2-4 bed shared room /shared bathroom €40 per person per night
