The Irish Society for Women in Economics are hosting an event for International Women's Day 2025, supported by the Central Bank of Ireland, and hosted by the University of Galway. The theme of IWD 2025 is 'accelerate action' and the event will focus on supporting women and girls into leadership, decision-making, and economics, and how male allies can support and progress gender equality

A panel discussion including Deputy Governor Vasileios Madouros (Central Bank), Prof. Helena Lenihan (University of Limerick) and Prof. John Mc Hale (University of Galway) will be moderated by ISWE Chair Dr. Emma Howard (TU Dublin). This will be followed by a Q&A session and a light lunch.
