Official Launch of the Caoimhín Mac Aoidh Collection

Join us for the launch of the Caoimhín Mac Aoidh Collection on Thursday, 26th June at 4pm in ITMA's library at 73 Merrion Square.

Donated in 2024, Caoimhín Mac Aoidh's personal collection of recordings, photographs and other materials spans decades, with a focus on the Donegal fiddle tradition. ITMA looks forward to making all of these materials available to the public in the near future.

As a fiddle player, writer, collector, founding member of Cairdeas na bhFidleiri, board member of Na Píobairí Uilleann and former board member of the Irish Traditional Music Archive, Caoimhín has had a profound impact on traditional music in Ireland. Please join us in celebrating his contributions on this special occasion.
