Living Tradition, Living Archive

Located in one of Merrion Square's historic Georgian buildings, the Irish Traditional Music Archive is home to the largest collection of Irish traditional music, song, and dance materials anywhere in the world. Staff members will give an introductory tour to the the archive, the materials they care for, and the work they do. Afterwards there will be an overview of traditional instruments and their connections to the streets of Dublin, followed by tunes and a chance to learn a few dance steps. Bígí linn!
