CURIOUS TO CAPABLE: AI

Tue Aug 11, 2026 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM EDT Online, Zoom

Explore AI Further. Decide What It Carries For You.

A 3-part live workshop where you move beyond asking questions in an AI chatbot and start putting AI to work alongside you.

[This workshop works entirely on the business side of your practice. Patient data is never part of it.]

What Do You Actually Use AI For Right Now?

Most people who use AI have useful back and forth conversations with it, and that's as far as it goes. They hear it's capable of amazing things and have no idea where to start — or they get overwhelmed by the sheer number of options and never get past go.

Maybe that's you. You have those conversations. You've seen enough to know there's something here worth paying attention to. You take seriously the way AI is transforming every industry AND you view it with a healthy dose of skepticism — wanting to put it to work on your own terms.

That's a harder line to walk than it sounds. On one side is the hype — the breathless claims that AI will run your practice for you, that you're already behind, that every tool is a must-have. On the other is the temptation to look away entirely, wait it out, and hope the fuss dies down before it touches your business. Neither one is where you want to stand. You don't need to buy the hype to take this seriously, and you don't have to bury your head in the sand to stay skeptical.

So, you may be wondering:

  • Everyone's talking about AI. Where do I actually start — with my practice, specifically?
  • I've played around with ChatGPT or Claude a little. Is that supposed to be it, or is there more?
  • I don't want to hand my judgment over to a machine. But am I missing something by not using this more?
  • How do other practice owners like me — not tech people, not early adopters — actually use this day to day?
  • I keep hearing AI will "run my business for me." I don't believe that, and I don't want that. So what's actually true?

If any of those sound like the conversation in your own head, this workshop was built for you.

What You'll Walk Away With

We work in one place: Claude. No other software to install, nothing else to compare.

Claude is built in layers — here's how most people move through them:

  • Chat → one question, one answer, starting from scratch every time
  • Projects → a dedicated space that holds your context between sessions
  • Skills → standing instructions for recurring tasks, built once, used repeatedly
  • Cowork → Claude working autonomously, connected to your everyday tools

Most people are still at Chat. This workshop moves you through the rest.

The difference between using Chat and Cowork isn't technical sophistication. It's context.

Think of AI as a new hire — and like any new hire, it needs to be onboarded. You don't hand someone a question and walk away; you give them context, show them how things run, tell them what matters. Most people skip that step with AI, which is why the answers stay generic. Proper onboarding allows it to do more without you holding its hand.

This workshop is that onboarding.

By the end, you'll have built My Monday Morning Business Briefing:

  • A context file that tells Claude what it needs to know about your practice
  • A Project built around the business side of your practice
  • A Skill for something you handle every single week
  • A live connection to at least one business tool you already use — calendar, drive, or inbox
  • A Briefing that runs on its own and is waiting for you Monday morning

You'll watch me build first, then follow along and build it yourself — alongside a small group of other independent specialty healthcare practice owners doing the same.

We'll also talk honestly about where AI falls short — and where it has no place in a practice like yours. That's part of the curriculum too.

You'll leave with something built, something running, and the judgment to keep going after Session 3. AI working alongside you, carrying what you've decided it should carry — nothing more.

Is This For You?

This workshop is for the independent specialty healthcare practice owner who is curious about AI but hasn't gone much further than conversation. You've opened Claude or ChatGPT, maybe asked it to draft something or answer a question — and you sensed there was more to it, but didn't know where to go next.

This is for you if…

You're tired of carrying the business side alone.

Whether you have staff or not, the operational load — the admin, the marketing, the hundred small business decisions that only land on your desk — is wearing on you.

You're curious, not dismissive — and a little behind on purpose.

You haven't ignored AI out of denial. You just haven't found the on-ramp that's actually about your practice, not a generic office job.

You want AI to work with you, not just respond to you.

Right now every session starts from scratch. There's a different way to work with it: one where it knows your practice, holds your context, and contributes to how you run things week to week.

You're discerning, not reckless.

You don't want to hand your judgment to a machine. You want to know exactly where AI earns a place in how you run things — and where it doesn't.

You're ready to build something, not just think about it.

You want to leave with something running — a real working setup, built around your practice, that's already waiting for you the Monday after we finish.

This is not for you if…

  • You've never opened Claude or ChatGPT — start there first, then come back
  • You're already building confidently with Claude Skills, Cowork, or Code — you'll find the pace too slow
  • You're looking for a broad survey of AI tools — we work in one place: Claude
  • You're looking for a list of prompts to skim and forget
  • You want to be told AI will run your practice for you — front desk to follow-up, hands-off
  • You want a recorded course you can watch on your own schedule — you'll be building in the room

This is for practice owners who are ready to see what AI can actually do for them — not in theory, but in their own practice.

What's Included

3 live 90-minute sessions + a 30-minute 1:1 with me

Session 1 — Foundations

  • A framework for thinking about AI as a practice owner, worked through live together — you'll have time to begin applying it to your own practice
  • The Claude layers explained — Chat, Projects, Skills, and Cowork — and how they build on each other
  • A live walkthrough of Claude setup and configuration — I build, you follow along
  • A live Skill demo — you see one built from scratch so you know what you're working toward in Session 2
  • A peer inspiration session — we generate ideas together for what you'll each build in Session 2

What you'll build in this session:

  • Your practice context file — the foundation everything else is built on
  • A Project configured around the business side of your practice

Before Session 2: complete your context file and decide what Skill you'll build

Session 2 — Build

  • You build your own Skill from scratch — I teach the build process live and you follow along, step by step
  • Small breakout groups organized by business domain — marketing, admin and operations, referral relationships — to share and steal each other's ideas
  • I move between breakout rooms throughout

What you'll build in this session:

  • A Skill built around something you handle every single week, personalized to your practice

Before Session 3: finishing touches on your Skill

Session 3 — Roundtable

  • A live demo connecting Claude to an everyday business tool you already use — calendar, drive, or inbox
  • My Monday Morning Business Briefing runs live in the room for the first time — you follow along and leave with it running

What you'll leave with:

  • A Briefing that runs on its own, waiting for you Monday morning
  • A clear sense of where to go from here

Your 1:1 With Me — 30 minutes, just the two of us

Choose from three scheduling windows:

  • Before Session 2 — thinking through your Skill build
  • Before Session 3 — troubleshooting before we connect everything live
  • After Session 3 — a broader conversation about AI and your practice

Self-booked via Acuity after Session 1.

After This Workshop, You Will Know How To...

  • Set up and configure Claude as a working tool — not just a chat window
  • Build a context file that gives Claude real knowledge of your practice
  • Create a Skill for something you do every week — and never start from scratch again
  • Connect Claude to the business tools you already use
  • Run a Briefing that shows up Monday morning, already knowing what matters
  • Decide where AI earns a place in how you run things — and where it doesn't

Think of it this way:

What you're building is a focused coworker for the business side of your practice — not a replacement for your team, and never in a place that disturbs the human connection at the heart of patient care. Something that helps you stay on top of the parts of running a practice that pull you away from the work you actually trained to do.

Run the business side smarter. Keep patient care exactly as personal as it is today.

You'll also be working alongside a small group of other independent specialty healthcare practice owners — not a generalist crowd that happens to share a Zoom link. The breakout structure means real peer learning and real networking with people who understand exactly what running a medical practice involves.

Who You're Learning From

I'm Iruka Brown — a strategic advisor to independent specialty healthcare practice owners. Before that, I spent close to two decades in management consulting, working through complex operational problems for some of the world's largest banks. What I've always done, in both worlds, is find the thing that's quietly blocking progress — the misaligned assumption, the overlooked asset, the decision that hasn't been named yet — and help people move from it.

I've been using Claude since before most people had heard of it. Not casually — as a working tool, built into how I run my own practice.

I won't point you to a list of workshop alumni — this is a first cohort, and I'll say that plainly. What I can tell you is that everything I teach here I use myself. The framework, the context file, the Briefing — none of it is theoretical. You're getting the version I've built, tested, and refined in my own practice, adapted for yours.

FAQ

Do I need any AI experience to do this?
Some familiarity with an AI chatbot — Claude or ChatGPT — is expected. If you've had at least a conversation or two with one, you're in the right place. If you've never opened either, start there first and come back.

If you're already a regular Claude user, you'll move faster — and likely find gaps in your setup you didn't know were there. Most people have never done a proper configuration. This workshop will get you caught up.

Why do I need a Claude Pro account?
A Claude Pro account ($20/month) is required and should be set up before Session 1. Think of it as step one beyond casual AI use — it's the threshold between asking a chatbot quick questions and actually building something with leverage. A couple of practical reasons it matters for this workshop specifically: the free plan caps how many messages you can send in a stretch, which risks getting you rate-limited mid-build, and it limits you to a single custom connection — workable for one project, but tight when you want room to explore.

Will this teach me to use AI with patient data or in clinical care?
No — and it's not designed to. This workshop stays entirely on the business side of your practice, by design. Worth knowing plainly: Claude's standard consumer plans (Free, Pro, Max, Team) aren't built or certified for protected health information. This workshop never touches patient data.

Do I need to attend all three sessions?
Yes — each session builds directly on the one before it. Session 1 lays the foundation. Session 2 is where you build. Session 3 is where everything connects and the Briefing runs for the first time.

Do you offer refunds?
Yes — fully refundable up to one week before Session 1.

Will there be a recording?
No — this workshop is hands-on and designed to be experienced live only.

Only 15 seats by design. Registration closes Friday, July 17.
