About the Speaker:
GM Gilberto Hernández has 15+ years of coaching experience and has worked extensively in chess education and talent development. He served as a member of the Chess in Education Program at the University of La Punta, reaching more than 45,000 children across 250 schools, and has been Director of its Talent Development School since 2019.

He has also worked with GM Viswanathan Anand and GM Francisco Vallejo Pons, and served as a coach at the University of Texas at Brownsville, contributing to the development of future Grandmasters and titled players.

Participants will learn how to:
• develop confidence and mental resilience
• improve focus and emotional regulation during competition
• build a champion's mindset for long-term success
• overcome setbacks and perform under pressure
• apply psychological tools in both chess and everyday life

Designed for young players, coaches, parents, and educators, this interactive session explores the mental side of chess and provides practical strategies for developing confidence, resilience, and high-performance habits both at the board and beyond. 🧠♟️
