With nearly four decades of experience in entertainment, marketing, and educational programming, Robert McLellan has spent the past 15 years advancing chess in education and community development.

👨‍🏫 He has trained 650+ educators to bring chess into classrooms and co-authored Great Moves: Learning Chess Through History, connecting chess with history, literacy, and critical thinking.

🎬 Robert is also the Executive Producer of Brooklyn Castle, winner of the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival, and co-produced the Mindsets: Chess in Education conference in New York City.

Dr. Amelia Hernandez brings together three worlds: medicine, competitive chess, and education.

🏆 A five-time Venezuelan Women’s Chess Champion and former Pan-American Girls Cadets Champion, she represented Venezuela at the 1994 Chess Olympiad in Moscow, winning an individual gold medal on Board 3.

🩺 A physician and specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Hernandez has served on the FIDE Medical Commission since 2018 and has been actively involved in elementary chess education since 2018.

🏫 As a school coach, she led Franklin Academy Charter School to the 2021 Florida State Championship.

🌱 A unique perspective on how chess can support learning, development, and the well-being of young people.
