EVENT DETAILS:

BOOK BY MIDDAY FRIDAY 11TH APRIL TO ENSURE YOUR CHILD RECEIVES AN EASTER EGG. CHILDREN BOOKED IN AFTER THIS TIME WILL STILL BE ABLE TO DO THE TRAIL BUT WILL NOT RECEIVE AN EGG.

Follow the Easter Bunny’s footprints around Easton’s hidden nature spots. Along the way learn about local wildlife, solve the clues and challenges and grab a delicious prize - a large Easter egg (worth £4) for every paying child.

This fun, family-friendly event is full of games and activities for primary-aged children (4-11yrs). It has been created and organised with the support of the Portland Youth Council and all monies raised will go towards providing affordable activities for Portland's children and young people.

Slots are available for groups (of up to 10 children), starting from 9.30 am until the last group at 12.30 pm. The trail will take around one hour to complete.

Refreshments, games and a raffle will also be available at the start and end point of the C2000 Hall, behind Easton Library, during The Island and Royal Manor of Portland Rotary Club's Table Top Sale, which is also in aid of Portland Youth Council.

A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

Children must be accompanied by an adult - although, unfortunately, adults will not be getting one of our tasty chocolate eggs!

The route includes Broadcroft Butterfly Meadow, Grove Playing Field and Little France Quarry and is unsuitable for buggies or those with mobility aids.

The event is weather dependent, which means the route may get changed or the event may get postponed if the weather on the day is deemed unsuitable. With this in mind, please wear suitable clothing and check out the Island Community Action Facebook page on the day for updates. If the event is cancelled your £2 entry will be refunded. However, the forecast does say sunny with a light breeze, so everything is looking good.

EVALUATION: This event forms part of our Tails & Trails project, which encourages people to get out and about and explore our amazing island. Thanks to a Dorset Council Culture and Community Fund grant, we have been able to offer it at a lower rate than normal.  In return, ICA and our funders would be hugely grateful if you would complete a short evaluation questionnaire following the event.  This will be sent to you via a link to your mobile phone. It will contain a few simple questions about your experience.

DATA PROTECTION: The data you provide in writing e.g. name, mobile number and email, will be stored securely and in line with UK GDPR. It will be kept only for as long as it is required (e.g. to provide you with information about this event and for evaluation purposes). Please note that we'll also be taking photographs at the event itself. These will be used for promotional and evaluation purposes, so please let us know if you do not want your photograph taken.
