The Event

Nothe of the Living Dead combines jump scares and escape dungeon-style challenges and puzzles in an hour-long experience that sees participants take on a chilling quest to save the world from an undead takeover.

The event, a fundraising collaboration between local charities Island Community Action (ICA), the Nothe Fort, and EPIC Games Dorset, takes place at the Nothe Fort – voted one of the UK’s spookiest locations. The event is now in its sixth year and has become a firm favourite with horror enthusiasts across the South West and beyond.

The 2025 Challenge

A Grimm Scary Tale!

This year's event invites you to immerse yourself in a dark and twisted fairytale, where the heroes and heroines you cherished in your childhood have transformed into terror-filled nightmares. 

In this world, evil has prevailed over good, and things are definitely not what they seem: from grotesque piggies and rabid-riddled princes to zombie princesses, with a taste for human flesh, and dripping, drooling witches waiting silently in the shadows. 

Do you have what it takes to take them on, to navigate Nothe Fort’s ghostly tunnels, and conquer the evil that lurks within? Do you possess the tenacity and wit to solve the riddles and challenges that will lead you and your teammates to a ‘happily ever after’? Or is this one fairytale where the wicked witch and her uncharming army triumph over humanity? Only you can determine the answer!

Participant Requirements

Minimum age is 16 (Under 18’s must be accompanied by a participating/paying adult).

No maximum age, height or weight restrictions, though participants should be fit and healthy, with good emotional robustness as some activities are fast-paced and scary.

NB: This experience is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant; has a heart, neck or back condition; or suffers from epilepsy or claustrophobia.

On arrival at the venue, participants will be asked to sign a disclaimer and asked to confirm any medical conditions or medication that are being taken. If they have any questions regarding this they should discuss at the time of booking.

Participants can exit the experience at set points. Once they’ve left, they will not be readmitted.

Refund Policy

Refunds will be offered if, for any reason, the event is cancelled. 

Refunds will not be offered if you change your mind about attending or if you realise you can no longer attend.
