Emerging Leaders: Field Experience Simulator
The Field Simulator Event is intended to provide a hands-on field experience to its participants. Hosted at the new Eastern Controls Training Center, participants will learn how to survey, walk down P&IDs, and sketch P&IDs in real time.
The group will discuss the design process for valve and pump selection, as well as appropriate pipe joining methods. Eastern Controls will provide a complimentary dinner.
By attending this event, you will:
- Gain experience with surveying piping and instrumentation
- Learn how to sketch P&ID's
- Engage in pump and valving design process
- Discuss advantages and disadvantages of different types of valves, materials, and pipe joining methods
Who Should Attend:
This Experience Simulator is designed for:
- Emerging Leaders seeking hands-on experience in the piping and instrumentation design process.
- Young process engineers looking for the visual experience of walking P&ID's in-person.
- Industry personnel interested in learning about how process equipment functions.
- Seasoned engineers exploring options for controls equipment (valves, pumps & instrumentation).
- Customers seeking to understand piping and instrumentation.
Why This Event Matters:
This event is specifically suited for emerging industry professionals seeking a learning experience from seasoned engineers. Many industry professionals have limited access to seeing how field conditions correspond to P&IDs on plans. The Field Experience Simulator addresses that field gap, while providing an informational discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of certain equipment and piping selections.
