This presentation will discuss the advantages of a robust automation platform in conjunction with the overall benefits of implementing effective digital technologies in accordance with Industry 4.0. Some key elements of incorporating digital technologies include not only the value that is added, benefits to overall production, and understanding the impact on the design of a facility as well as the impact on the overall network infrastructure.

Yvonne Duckworth, PE
Director of Digital Technology; CRB
Yvonne Duckworth is a registered Automation Engineer at CRB with 30+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Ms. Duckworth is also an Industry 4.0 thought leader and subject matter expert (SME) providing Digitalization consulting for the Pharma and Biotech industries, as well as Cell & Gene Therapy and Oligonucleotides.
Ms. Duckworth has spoken at multiple industry events featuring Automation as well as Digitalization. She has written multiple magazine articles featuring Pharma 4.0TM/Industry 4.0. She is a Co-Chair for the Pharma 4.0 Special Interest Group “Holistic Digital Enablement”. In addition, Ms. Duckworth is a key member of the ISPE Pharma 4.0 Leadership Team. Ms. Duckworth is a Board Member of the Oligonucleotide Scientific Advisory Board. She is a key member of the ISPE Workforce of the Future for Automation and Robotics Initiative.
Ms. Duckworth has a BSEE from Widener University and an MBA from Rider University. She is an active member of ISPE, IEEE, Women in Bio, and ISA.
Louis White
Automation Engineer; CRB
Louis White is a Automation Engineer at CRB with 2 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Mr. White has a strong background in technical design, his areas of expertise include instrumentation design, process control system design.
Mr. White is also Co-Chairman for ISPE DVC Emerging Leaders Committee.
Mr. White has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The College of New Jersey. He is an active member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE).
