Topic Title: InfoSec fails are the BEST fails!!!
Topic Abstract: This talk will cover some common InfoSec failures, why they occur, and sometimes what not to do as you implement processes and technologies. The only agenda of this talk is to give people something they can take back to work and use.
Bio: Derek Milroy is a corporate security professional that has been implementing security, as both an internal employee and as a consultant, for the past twenty plus years. His main areas of focus the past decade or so have been: Systems Hardening (focusing mainly on Windows Forest/Domain/GPO architectures), Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, Log Management/SIM/SEIM, Incident Response, Network Infrastructure Security, Cloud Controls and Hardening, Red Team Program Management, Threat Modeling, and Threat Intel. He is a former QSA and current PCIP. He has also performed ISO 72001/27002, CIS Top18, and NIST CSF assessments.

Topic Title: Wisconsin Cyber Threat Response Alliance (WICTRA), Empowering the Cybersecurity Community
Topic Abstract: The upcoming session will provide a comprehensive overview of the Wisconsin Cyber Threat Response Alliance (WICTRA), showcasing both personal and professional insights. Key topics include information sharing, the innovative Cyber Range program for upskilling and network hardening, and interactive scenario-based training. The discussion the incorporation of innovative training within K12 and higher education environments. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of WICTRA's significant impact on the small and medium-sized business community through hands-on exercises, hackathons, internships, mentorships, and coaching.
Bio.: Jerry Eastman is one of the world’s leading technical authorities on live cyber firing ranges. Jerry runs these cyber ranges (using live malware) in his role as director of the Wisconsin Cyber Threat Response Alliance (WICTRA). This is a is a partnership between Wisconsin government agencies and the Fortune 1000 in Wisconsin. Prior to cyber security Jerry served for 32 years in the Wisconsin National Guard. Jerry was deployed to Afghanistan and was awarded the Bronze Star.
Bio.: David Cagigal is currently serving as a CXO Advisor for Zscaler as well as a Board Member for the Wisconsin Cyber Threat Response Alliance (WICTRA). He is also advising other organizations regarding cyber security challenges and opportunities in building and sustaining cyber defenses focused on Zero Trust Principles. David Cagigal was appointed CIO for the State of Wisconsin in November 2012. As the CIO, he also served as Division Administrator for the Division of Enterprise Technology.
