A meet-up for artists seeking community & connection!
This is a free public meet-up for local artists (all mediums and skill levels) to enjoy warm drinks and lively conversation in a supportive, casual, small-group setting. All will be invited to share stories, tips, resources, and recommendations on whatever art-related topics or questions spark the group’s imagination! We could end up talking about:
- our personal art paths and practices
- local art events & opportunities we’ve found worthwhile
- our favourite art supply shops, printers, vendors, etc.
- freelancing / growing an art business
- or something else entirely!
Coffee, tea, and cocoa will be provided.
What to bring:
You don’t need to bring anything to enjoy this meet-up, but you’re welcome to bring anything for note-taking or sharing your art/services with the group! (E.g., notebook and pen, portfolio or images of artwork you’ve done, business cards, etc.)
Venue & reserving seats:
This meet-up will take place inside Crescent Beach Community Gallery at 12160 Beecher St, Surrey, BC. Parking around the gallery can be a challenge, so please leave yourself plenty of time to find a spot or use public transit (you can map out your trip using TransLink’s Trip Planner).
We have 10 seats available and kindly require RSVPs to make sure we don't run out of chairs. (If the event fills up, you'll be prompted to join a waiting list if you'd like to be notified if someone else cancels.)

Meet the facilitators
This meet-up will be facilitated by a team of six BC-based artists as part of a larger art exhibition and workshop series, ‘It’s Been Art All Along: Women Making Sense/Cents Through Art in a World on Fire,’ running at the Crescent Beach Community Gallery from Nov. 21–Dec. 14, 2025.
