JagTag Xtra Time - Center of Excellence (Presented by Gallagher)

Background: Launched in May with a showcase launch event, the JagTag Xtra-time Centre of Excellence (Presented by Gallagher Insurance) This follow up event will feature 50 invited participants aged 13 to 17 from the Gallagher partnered JagTag Xtra Time programme.

The Centre of Excellence is a holistic programme developed to enhance the skills already present in participating players with a three-pillar approach: 

• Elite positional coaching - Some of the best coaches in London. 
• Strength and conditioning Module focusing on all elements of physical training including speed work and plyometrics.
• Sports psychology - Module which employs the principles of Preparation, Performance and Reflection.

Based in West London, selected participants are in the process of a 12-week full training programme, led by the Jacksonville Jaguars UK grassroots team, and fully supported and endorsed by BAFA, the national governing body for American football in the UK.

The outcome aims are the progression of participants into the next elite level of Flag football, which has a potential pathway into the Great Britain national teams, and higher levels of elite flag participation, where there is a national emphasis for the next two Olympic cycles.

Investing in the futures of young people so they can continue to grow and excel is at the heart of Gallagher’s aims, which are demonstrated through the community programmes it sponsors. JagTag Xtra Time has engaged hundreds of young people, aged 9 – 17, across London since its inception in 2021.

Expanding the programme to an elite training centre will assist in the transition of promising young talent, to a higher aspirational level of playing the sport.

• 530pm (to 545pm) registration
• 6pm – Conference room talk
• 6:15pm – Change and on field
• 6:20pm – All Three elements – Coaching / Sports Psychology and S&C on field, (3 x 15 min rotations and breaks)
• 7:10pm – Soft end / Presentations / Huddle
• 7:30pm – Exit
