Join us at Jacs for a Christmas get-together with three bands bringing their own take on punk rock. Round up your mates and come along for a festive Sunday of live music!

WONK UNIT

Formed in London in 2006 by Alex “Daddy Wonk” Johnson, formerly of The Flying Medallions, Wonk Unit have built their own distinctive corner of the DIY punk scene. Their songs combine melody, humour and deeply personal storytelling, with a willingness to venture beyond the usual punk sound. Their catalogue includes Mr Splashy, Terror, Uncle Daddy and Good Good Glad To Hear It, released through Pirates Press Records in 2024. Expect character, energy and plenty of Wonk spirit.

RUMBRAVE

A five-piece punk rock band from Abertillery and the surrounding South Wales Valleys, Rumbrave formed in summer 2024, bringing together musicians from System Reset, Trigger McPoopShute and Calling All Stations. Fronted by Stan, they combine driving riffs, strong hooks and choruses made for joining in. Their influences stretch across punk, rock, metal and folk, bringing plenty of experience and Valleys character to the stage.

HURTING GERMS

Cardiff’s Hurting Germs are led by Toxic Nik and deliver old-school punk with their own twist. Their debut EP, Toxic Nik, features original tracks including Shallow Grave, Idle Chat and You Scum, with further releases including Boots in Basement and Blame It on Your Government. A lively addition to the bill for anyone who likes their punk direct and full of attitude.
