Unlike a lot of our trips recently with wide expensive views, this is a very vertical park. If you look at the map, it looks like a skinny little sliver of green in the middle of San Francisco. Because of the steep canyon walls and tall trees in the riparian area, a lot of vertical habitat exists. A good trip to listen for birds and identify native plant life that has been planted. Unfortunately, the Great-horned Owl nest failed this year for some unknown reason.
