You missed Mt. Diablo with the crazy turkey fights.

You missed the secret forest with fairy-like hummers zipping past our heads!

You missed Mount Tamalpais with the Wrentits a buzzing!!

Don’t miss Stern Grove, for heaven’s sake. This incredible oasis in the suburbs of what were the dunes of the outside lands, harbors thousands of birds. Some think of Stern Grove as a destination for concerts, not wildlife, but actually its proximity between Lake Merced and the hills of the Twin Peaks complex, as well as being on route for migrating birds coming through the city, heading north towards Golden Gate Park and the Presidio, and the fact that there’s a lake, all mean that local breeders see this as a good spot to raise a family.
