Noriko Ueda Trio Feb 19, 20, 21

Noriko Ueda began studying classical piano at the age of 4, playing electric bass at 16, and learning the double bass at 18. She is a graduate of the Osaka College of Music and the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Apollo Theatre, Blue Note, Dizzy’s Club, Birdland, and other great jazz venues. She currently tours with the acclaimed supergroup Artemis, led by Renee Rosnes, and has collaborated with many legendary musicians, including Frank Wess, Grady Tate, Kenny Barron, and Bill Charlap. We are thrilled to have her appear at Jazz Genius on Feb 19, 20, and 21 alongside longtime collaborator Ted Rosenthal, “one of the leading jazz pianists of his generation,” and the sensational David Alvarez III on drums.
