Barry Altschul Quartet July 9

Drummer Barry Altschul is a free spirited jazz drummer. His performance is unrestricted, unbound and, at the same time, beautifully musical. He first came to notice in the late 1960s while performing with pianists Paul Bley and Chick Corea. Some of the other musicians he has shared the stage with are Lee Konitz, Art Pepper, Jon Irabagon, Dave Liebman, Lee Konitz. His career spans more than 60 years and 100 albums. Playing with Barry at Jazz Genius on July 9 will be Hayes Greenfield on sax, Kenny Wessel on guitar, and Joe Fonda on bass. Barry Altschul is a musical treasure, don't miss him!
