Pianist Tom Schlüter and saxophonist Alberto Menéndez share a musical connection that goes back decades, shaped through numerous projects and performances together. That long familiarity gives the music a special kind of freedom: close interaction, changing colors and improvisation that can turn in a new direction at any moment.

For this New York Jazz Bar night, Menéndez joins Schlüter’s trio for an intimate quartet set built on musical dialogue rather than routine — warm, spontaneous and made for the closeness of the Jazzkeller.
