Jesse Davis Quartet Worldstars Sunday

Some musicians become part of a club’s story. Jesse Davis returns to Jazzkeller for a January tradition: an intimate evening of swinging jazz, lyrical ballads and the joyful energy of a quartet playing within arm’s reach of the audience.

Rooted in the jazz tradition of New Orleans, Davis brings a warm, unmistakable alto saxophone sound and a fluent feel for bebop and the blues. His playing combines melodic storytelling with rhythmic drive — equally at home in a tender ballad or a fast-moving standard.

For this Worldstars Sunday, the quartet brings that spirit back to our cellar: close musical conversation, spontaneous solos and the unmistakable atmosphere of a live jazz club. A familiar guest, a new evening, and a tradition we are delighted to continue.
