Multi-award winning vocalist Claire Martin OBE joins forces with her long time friend and guitar giant Jim Mullen for an evening of stylishly reworked songs from the great American songbook and beyond. Featuring work by Gershwin, Arlen, Porter and Donny Hathaway and joined by bassist Arnie Somogyi, this promises to be a night full of swing and soul.

About The Artists
Since becoming a professional singer at 19, Claire Martin OBE has established herself as a tour de force on the UK jazz scene. Signed to Glasgow-based Linn Records, Claire has released 18 CD's with the label collaborating with musical luminaries such as Martin Taylor, John Martyn, Stephane Grappelli, Kenny Barron and Richard Rodney Bennett. Claire has toured around the world with her trio, as well as being a featured soloist in a number of larger ensembles. Including the Halle Orchestra, The Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, The BBC Concert Orchestra and The BBC Big Band.
Jim Mullen, originally from Glasgow, is widely regarded as one of the finest jazz guitarists in Europe. He has toured and worked with a range of artists such as Mose Allison, Jimmy Witherspoon, Brian Auger’s “Oblivion Express” and the Average White Band as well as being the founding co-leader of British jazz-funk group "Morrissey-Mullen". Establishing his name through the 70's and 80's, Jim Mullen has won several awards throughout his career, including The Honorary Parliamentary Jazz Award in 2017.

Joining Claire Martin and Jim Mullen is one of the UK's most in demand bass players, Arnie Somogyi. Arnie has recorded, toured and performed with some of the world's leading jazz musicians including Bobby Hutcherson, Eddie Henderson, Scott Hamilton and the Mingus Big Band. He has frequently appeared at the world-renowned Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club as sideman, leader and member of the Ronnie Scott's All-Stars. As well as an incredible performance CV, Arnie Somogyi has been an educator and key bass tutor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire since 1999.
