About this concert
Two choral works that were first heard over 200 years apart comprise our tremendous Season Finale. Geistliche Chormusik, published in 1648, is a setting of German texts and choral music by Heinrich Schütz. Brahms's German Requiem, which debuted on Good Friday in 1868, is a beloved masterpiece revered as one of the most significant choral works in classical music.
Dr. J. Arturo González collaborates with Evergreen Chorale, chorus master Christine Gaudreau, baritone Steven Taylor, and soprano Kirsten Carpenter Ortman for this exceptional concert.

Tickets are available now for General Admission seating. The Requiem will be performed in its original German, with English subtitles provided for full immersion. The concert will last approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes with no intermission.
