JEMS® Movement ARC Online Mentored Learning Programme 2

Continue your educational experience, with international movement and rehabilitation expert Joanne Elphinston, on a programme that will transform your practice, and inspire both you and your patients.

Programme 2 will build on your existing learning, polishing your clinical reasoning and observation skills and progressing your knowledge base.   You will explore dynamic lower limb concepts such as agility and shock absorption, force and load sharing, and the fascinating, versatile upper limb, incorporating reflex activation, local and global integration, the dance between dynamic stability and mobility, multijoint coordination, embodiment and somatic influences.  The whole body comes together as a unified whole, and you will be confident to effectively treat an even wider range of patients.

On completion of Programme 2, you will have the opportunity to apply to join the select body of JEMS® Certified Clinical Rehabilitation Practitioners. You can book your examination once you have worked with the concept for six months after finishing Programme 2.

Programme 2 includes:

  • 18 hours of live online learning and mentoring, spaced throughout the first 12 weeks of the programme
  • 13+ hours of self-paced learning, including 20 weeks of access to:
    • 23 Video lessons with Joanne teaching you, just as she would “live”
    • Downloadable PDF handouts for each lesson
    • 90 professionally produced JEMS® technique videos
    • Bonus technique refresher video library - available as soon as your booking is confirmed!
  • Private online community for the duration of the course
  • Certificate of completion for 35 hours of CPD

Testimonials from recent Programme 2 participants:

  • "JEMS® has allowed me to become the therapist I has always wanted to be. Patients can have complicated problems and JEMS® has given me the knowledge, tools, confidence to find an effective treatment forwards. Patients love it too!"  Liz Jowsey, Physiotherapist.
  • "I feel tremendously supported and it has changed and enhanced my whole practice. I look at every patient now from a JEMS® point of view. Even in the way that I approach my patients and how to have that space available for them."  Anonymous, Physiotherapist.
  • "A lot has changed professionally for me. Especially the way I communicate and use language with patients. Going deeper into discussions with patients about what they actually feel helps my clinical reasoning process and clinical direction. Also I have more clarity around using movement in terms of what to look for and what to expect and what is possible."  Nick Watson, Physiotherapist.
  • "I think the course offers you a lot of support whilst leading you forward on a challenging journey. Like a free diver reaching a certain depth, known as the point of neutral buoyancy, in order to go deeper, the JEMS® course teaches you that you have to let go of the safety of the shore (perhaps analogous to facts you held to be true such as 'you need to do glute exercises').  I have changed enormously as a practitioner during the course of my JEMS® journey. I am much more focussed on what I am looking for, my clinical reasoning and attention to detail. However, the biggest change maybe to do with communication. This is a combination of how I phrase things, the stories I tell and listen out for, as well as the confidence with which I explore the story.  I found [the online format] to be a very successful learning experience. The live sessions are great as you get to share other practitioners learning experiences. This throws up different stories, different ways of seeing things that you hadn't thought of, questions that you might of thought of asking and questions you didn't know you should have asked! These live sessions when combined with being able to review the very detailed course material in your own time and space works really well."  Hugh Ruxton, Osteopath.
