We are delighted that you have completed the JEMS® Movement ART course series, and are contemplating joining a remarkable community of rehabilitation professionals who have challenged themselves to attain recognition for the high level of skills, insight and knowledge that they have developed throughout this educational process.
Every successful candidate has reported that going for certification was the
best thing that they could have done to fully realise the investment of time and
finance that they have made in pursing this pathway. It has made them go
back through their notes, uncovering forgotten concepts or techniques,
revealed areas of preference, and conversely, the areas which had been
missed, passed over or avoided, and which turn out to be new areas of
richness to explore. Their feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and
each one has felt that their clinical practice has lifted to a higher level as a
result of the certification process.
Candidates also appreciate that passing is not automatic on attendance, as this preserves the value of their effort. It is necessary to pass each section of the examination. It is rare for a candidate to fail the entire examination, but it is possible to fail one section. This is not a disaster – usually there is a definite weaker element that reveals itself through the process, and once it has been identified, the candidate is given the opportunity to go away and review this material, and make a Zoom appointment to re sit that section with an examiner to ensure that this area has been addressed. If this is done to a satisfactory level, the certification can be awarded. Without exception, every person who has needed to take this opportunity for the resit has passed with flying colours, and every one has said that they have greatly benefited from having engaged with and addressed the weaker area. This process ensures that you can have confidence that every person listed on the JEMS® website as a certified practitioner has met a required standard.
The JEMS® Certification takes place via Zoom in a small group, creating a supportive environment which also functions as a CPD opportunity.
The examination day has a three part structure:
