Jen Louise Meyer

I’m Jen Louise Meyer, an Oxford-based artist, combining bookbinding and printmaking to make hand-bound soft and hard cover sketchbooks. Inspired by folklore, history, and nature, I print my linocuts onto calico or paper for the books’ cover designs

Participants at my workshops have the opportunity to learn bookbinding skills using the Coptic binding method, the oldest binding technique. I supply all materials and also show participants how to book bind at home without the need for specialist equipment. For participants interested in continuing bookbinding on a regular basis, I also provide an introduction to the equipment I use.
