Winter Songwriting Retreat

Join us for cozy winter weekend in Bellingham! This will be a small, immersive group workshop dedicated to the craft of songwriting. Come prepared to write, share, laugh, and dig deep. We will explore different approaches to songwriting through writing prompts, dissect the songs we love, share, jam, and support each other in our musical journeys.

All genres invited. Some musical experience encouraged! We welcome the spectrum: from "I know three chords on a Ukulele" to "I have a PHD in classical conducting and a grammy."

The workshop will be held at a spacious Airbnb in Bellingham within walking distance of grocery stores, coffee shops, and saltwater views. We have accommodations for up to five out-of-town guests, along with space for up to five Bellingham locals to attend as day participants. If you prefer, you're also welcome to arrange your own lodging.

Schedule: We gather for dinner at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, and wrap up with our final evening session on Monday, January 18. Each day includes morning, afternoon, and evening sessions, with generous breaks and free time to explore Bellingham, rest, or keep writing.

Food: Dinner, snacks, coffee, and tea are provided throughout the retreat. Overnight guests will also have simple breakfast options available each morning. Lunch is on your own, with several options nearby.

Lodging (overnight guests): Check in on Friday, January 15 and check out on Tuesday, January 19.

Travel: Airport pick-ups and drop-offs available from Bellingham Airport (8 mins away). If you'd prefer to fly to Seattle, you can rent a car or arrange a Bellair shuttle and we can pick you up from the Shuttle stop.
