Trance and Dream Writing
Trance and Dream Writing
Need help?
I can help you love writing again.
Do you love writing but sometimes feel stuck or don’t write even though you want to? Would you like to reconnect with your passion for writing? This exciting class in the Mission District of San Francisco will help you connect with your deepest self through writing. Learn to use trance states to deepen and illuminate your creative spark.
New Dates! Class meets for five Tuesday evenings in June and July from 6:30–8:30 p.m., on June 17, 24, and July 1 and 8th and 15th.
Perfect for people who haven’t been writing lately or for writers who want to go deeper into their characters. Hear your characters speak to you in trance, learn automatic writing, and visit a movie theater in your mind to watch your finished book! Hypnosis and writing together are like a magic potion to unlock the creativity already inside you—your natural, wild, unedited art monster.
I bring together my twenty years of teaching writing and skills as a certified hypnotherapist to guide you into trances designed for writing. I’ve been writing for over twenty-five years and exploring hypnosis for the past ten. I’ve developed a unique way to combine trance and writing to tap into more parts of our imagination.
In class, you’ll learn about hypnosis, writing, and dream work, and how they overlap. Each session includes a group trance focused on writing—exploring setting, characters, and plot from a hypnotic perspective. We’ll also use trance to meet our inner critic, and I’ll give you writing prompts between classes. You’ll learn self-hypnosis, automatic writing, and hypnotic games to guide yourself and others into trance. Dream work tools will also be part of the practice.
This class is for anyone interested in writing and hypnotic experience. It’s also suitable for returning students, hypnotherapists, therapists, and coaches looking for new creative tools.
