Take a deep dive into the native plant medicines and energies of each of our four seasons with herbalists and nature-based facilitators Jessie Martelhof and Amy Cox.

Learn about the native herbal medicines which grow during each season, and how to make a range of herbal remedies from them in this mainly outdoors-based, nature-connected experience of herbalism .

As well as Herbal remedy making we will also offer some mindful and creative nature-based activities to allow us to drop even more deeply into the plants and the landscape.

We will share a cooked lunch together and gather around a cosy bonfire in the cooler months.

CONTENT

Learn about what can be wild foraged or found in the garden during each season with information on foraging safety and identification. Learn what types of herbal remedies might be useful at different times of year, such as cleansing remedies in the spring and immune boosting remedies in the autumn and winter.

Make herbal remedies to take home using a variety of herbal medicine-making techniques including the making of tinctures, vinegars, salves, oils and teas. Some will be made on an open fire.

Connect a little more deeply with the plants and the natural environment by trying some meditative and creative practices, such as mindfulness in nature, nature art and mindful tea tastings.

Reflect on the different energies of each season and the ways that we can engage more deeply with them to enhance our lives and live more in harmony with the cycles of nature.

Teas, snacks and homemade seasonal soup for lunch will be provided.
In the cooler months we will work around a cosy fire.

You will need to dress for the weather, the sessions will be mainly outside and a shelter will be provided in case of rain.

Full location details will be sent to you after booking.

ACCESSIBLITY: The venue is a garden and small woodland with rough woodchipped pathways. It is on ground level and there are no steps to climb.
