Heading back to school can present a number of challenges and opportunities for LGBTQ+ students. On Tuesday, August 18, Jess Jones Education & Consulting will be hosting an online space to discuss ways to start the year off right.

We’ll discuss navigating the school-home relationship, helping educators make inclusive adjustments in the classroom, and much more!

  • FORMAT: This session will include 20-30 minutes of presentation followed by an open Q&A session.

About The Presenter

Jess Jones (they/them) is a St. Louis-based educational consultant creating more equitable schools and communities for young people.

They draw upon their 15+ years of experience working in K-12 and Higher Ed to support LGBTQ+ youth, families, and educators in navigating an ever-shifting sociopolitical landscape.

Jess is well-versed in the nuances of educational settings, from public to parochial, and has worked with over 400 schools internationally. They have served as a high school English teacher in Missouri and rural North Carolina, as well as the K-12 Education Liaison at Washington University's Pediatric Transgender Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
