Let's come together to move, rest and feast as we reach the halfway mark of the season.
Once we get settled in, we'll move through a flowing mandala vinyasa yoga sequence that takes us on a circular journey around the mat. Blending fluid movement, a steady build of power and heat, and curated music, we aim to find a moving meditation in a sequence we'll become more and more familiar with. This could be a chance for you to challenge yourself in a supportive space, or keep it simple and lock in to the familiar patten of the sequence paired simultaneously with your breath.
After we've built up internal heat we'll move into an extended yin practice. We hold fewer postures for longer, and with a different intention - to slow down, find stillness and to balance out the yang energy from our mandala. Bolsters, blocks, sandbags, blankets - you'll have everything you need to create your little cocoon as we slowly move into a short yoga nidra to finish. Yoga nidra, which in Sanskrit means yoga sleep, is a beautiful practice aimed at discovering the liminal space between awake and asleep, conscious and unconscious - that place where lots of the magic of rest and restoration happens. No movement required whatsoever :)
After we've shared our extended practice together we'll enjoy a three course vegetarian meal inspired by seasonal fruits and vegetables.
An opportunity to spend a memorable Friday evening in cosy community. Come with friends or come solo and leave with new ones!
