What does a career in journalism, public policy and social impact look like in practice?
Join Greg Hurst, former Times political, education and social affairs correspondent, in conversation with the Master. Drawing on more than three decades in journalism and his subsequent work leading communications and public affairs at the Centre for Homelessness Impact, Greg will explore the realities of working at the intersection of journalism, politics, public policy and social change.
From reporting on politics and education to covering poverty and homelessness, Greg’s career offers a fascinating insight into how journalism can shape public debate and influence policy. He will share his experiences of working in the media, moving into public affairs, and using evidence and communication to support meaningful social impact.
Aimed at students interested in journalism, politics, public policy, communications and the social impact sector, this is an opportunity to hear first-hand about the opportunities, challenges and career pathways within these fields – and to ask questions about getting started.
