Celebrating 100 Years of The Jewish Folk Chorus of San Francisco

The Jewish Folk Chorus of San Francisco is celebrating its 100th birthday with a program of songs chosen from our many exuberant years of singing.  Adding to a variety of historic favorites, we’ll perform music written by some of the dynamic new composers of today. Our multimedia concert will take place on Sunday, September 27th, at 3:30 PM at Kehilla Community Synagogue in Piedmont.

Under the direction of Lisa Sargent, with piano accompaniment by Inara Morgenstern, and featuring appearances by some special guests, we will bring you songs of solidarity, labor, humor, love, protest, and peace, sung in Yiddish, Hebrew, Ladino, Russian, and English. The concert will be followed by a dance party featuring the Kehilla Klezmer Band. Come join us as we mark this joyous anniversary!
