About This Event:
Join us for a facilitation session for internal EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion), HR and People leaders working in corporates across the UK which will focus on topic on 'How to help your Jewish colleagues'.

This interactive session will offer you insight into the experiences and emotions of Jewish colleagues in the workplace. Through expert-led discussions, we aim to cultivate a more profound understanding and equip you with practical strategies and techniques to enhance your interaction, rapport and dialogue with Jewish teammates.

The session has been organised by Jhive (jhive.org.uk), a leading Jewish charity dedicated to Jewish Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives in the workplace. The charity is led by executive director Daniel Levy who will host the event alongside our facilitator Dr Ben Levy.

Dr. Ben Levy, an accomplished Psychologist, brings a wealth of expertise from his diverse roles in the education, charity, and corporate sectors. He has delivered training, assessment and organisational change projects. Ben was a lead psychologist both at a national Jewish charity and at the Insure-tech startup YuLife. Drawing on extensive psychological research, he has created a tool to improve productivity and business outcomes.

Workshop Outline:

  • Where are we now?  We'll examine feedback from Jewish employees, comparing their responses from after October 7th to the present. We'll look at what has changed and what remains the same.
  • Where are you now?  A quick round-the-room share to voice current challenges and expectations from the workshop
  • Presentation: Hear from an EDI practitioner and a Jewish employee on post-October 7 initiatives that made a real impact.
  • Facilitated Breakouts: In small groups, explore and identify practical initiatives that you can take back to your firm. 
  • Share what you have learned: A collaborative share-back session, highlighting actionable strategies and insights.

Please note: This facilitation session is open only to HR, People and EDI internal corporate leaders and is not open to HR, EDI or People consultants, coaches, or individuals that are working outside the HR, People or EDI space.
