JJ Lovegrove + Court Jester Live at the Leicester Print Workshop

As part of an intimate Autumn tour, independent conceptual artist JJ Lovegrove will be sharing a cinematic exploration of her newest work, in carefully selected venues that resonate with the celebration of the handmade & handcrafted elements of the release.

Centred around cinematic, piano-driven arrangements, the performances will showcase material from History Is The Struggle Of Becoming while unveiling the second chapter of the album's story. With performances that reframe the D.H. Lawrence-inspired landscapes of the record into an immediate, evocative live experience. Expect haunting, operatic vocals & layered, atmospheric storytelling up close.

JJ is thrilled to be joined for the evening by Court Jester, the doom-dance pop solo project of Leicester-based musician & artist Courtney Askey.

Blending contemplative lyricism with textured guitars, electronic rhythms & experimental soundscapes, Court Jester sits at the intersection of pop, doom, & dance. Her debut self-produced EP, I'm My Favourite Clown, explores themes of metamorphosis & resilience, weaving together everything from a Portuguese flea-market glockenspiel & toy instruments to medieval synths & cellos recorded on a beautiful Lisbon residency.
