JJ LOVEGROVE + Michelle Laverick

JJ LOVEGROVE + MICHELLE LAVERICK at The Haarlem Wirksworth
As part of an intimate Autumn tour, independent conceptual artist JJ Lovegrove will be sharing a cinematic exploration of her newest work, in carefully selected venues that resonate with the celebration of the handmade & handcrafted elements of the release.

Centred around cinematic, piano-driven arrangements, the performances will showcase material from History Is The Struggle Of Becoming while unveiling the second chapter of the album's story. With performances that reframe the D.H. Lawrence-inspired landscapes of the record into an immediate, evocative live experience. Expect haunting, operatic vocals & layered, atmospheric storytelling up close.

JJ is thrilled to be joined for the evening by Michelle Laverick, the folk/acoustic singer-songwriter from the North East, now based in Derbyshire, known for richly atmospheric songwriting rooted in English tradition, myth, and a strong sense of place.

Attracting praise from the likes of KLOF Magazine & championed by broadcasters such as Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) for her beautifully crafted lyrics & distinctive use of a foot-operated harmonium drone.
