A day dedicated to eating well and living well
Spend a nourishing day in every sense with nutrition coach Joanna Issa and chef Kate Foster. The backdrop is Sheepdrove Organic Farm, an idyllic setting nestled in the Berkshire Downs and one of the region’s very best-kept secrets. The premise is time out to slow down and simply be, with an exploration of the easy, evidence-based changes to food and lifestyle that can positively impact your health.
Learn how to make gut-friendly bread, and get inspired by a relaxed cooking demonstration of seasonal dishes. Later, we'll sit down together to enjoy a spectacular autumnal long table feast created by Kate Foster, The Intuitive Chef. A gentle stroll through meadows, woodland, and to the pond - and perhaps a swim if you feel like it - will round off the day leaving you fully relaxed, well fed and armed with some new skills and knowledge to try out at home.
During the day:
- We'll begin with a nutrition masterclass exploring how what you eat, how you move, how you connect with others and how you rest are all intertwined. You'll come away with simple evidence-based food and lifestyle changes that positively impact your health, and help you add life to your years.
- You'll get hands-on with bread making. You'll blend locally grown and milled flour with herbs picked from Sheepdrove's physic garden, and learn about the culinary and medicinal properties that make these plants so valuable.
- We'll bring the masterclass to life in the kitchen, showing you how seasonal whole food can be both absolutely delicious and nourishing.
- We'll sit down together to share a memorable autumnal feast created by Kate, bringing together the day's philosophy.
- Afterwards, you'll have an opportunity for a gentle stroll along one of the farm's walking tracks, taking in wildflower meadows, ancient woodland, the wildlife pond and lake. Take a dip if you feel inclined and warm up with a cosy brew and freshly baked cake before you leave, feeling relaxed, restored, connected and inspired.
We’ve designed this special day (the only one of its kind that we’ll run in 2026) for a maximum of 20 people, to keep the event intimate and intentional and to ensure opportunities for conversation and connection that can be difficult to find in large events.
Early booking is therefore recommended. Come with a friend or come on your own - either way you'll quickly feel at ease with us at Sheepdrove.
£150 per person. Limited to 20 guests.
Your ticket includes: refreshments, the long table feast, a unique botanical flour blend and sourdough starter to use in baking at home, plus a masterclass summary and a reminder of how to recreate the kinds of dishes we'll make on the day.
The ingredients we use will be seasonal and sourced from Sheepdrove Farm and local producers and suppliers, including from our friends at Tribe Zero-Waste.
The menu for the day includes organic meat, vegetarian and vegan options. Please note that while most dietary restrictions can be accommodated, we cannot guarantee a gluten or nut free environment. For dietary or allergy queries, please email me at jo@joannaissa.com
