Botanical dye & weave workshop

Transform petals into colour, then weave airy vessels that celebrate nature and the summer season.

Events list

In this creative, sensory workshop, you’ll invite the hidden hues of petals onto cloth through the eco-friendly art of bundle dyeing.

Your hand-dyed fabric will then be paired with paper and raffia yarns as you learn the expressive, organic rhythm of random-weave basketry.

Together, these elements will become a one-of-a-kind vessel: part keepsake, part celebration of nature’s warmth and renewal.

There are only 4 places per workshop, to ensure that I can focus on each person. Suitable for all abilities.

Joanne Lamb is an Irish artist based in London, with a long history of working with textiles, specialising in woven work. Joanne is currently exploring her practice off the loom, focusing on an appreciation of the natural world and the handcrafted using basketry, natural dyes, and other hand-skills-based techniques to create one-off pieces that celebrate the gifts of the land, the properties of plants, and the innovation of ancestral craftspeople.
