Joey Ansah Monthly Masterclass @Legacy Martial Arts, East London. SUNDAY - 21st JUNE, 13.30- 16.30

Actor, Filmmaker, and Fight Choreographer Joey Ansah is teaching  a new monthly Masterclass at Legacy Martial Arts!

Joey Ansah has over 30 years experience across the Martial Arts and over 20 years in the film business, working with the very best. 

Career highlights include performing one of the greatest fights in movie history opposite Matt Damon in 'The Bourne Ultimatum'. He has written, directed choreographed and starred in 'Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist' - one of the most celebrated live-action adaptations of a video game. He has choreographed for the likes of Scott Adkins & Jean Claude Van Damme and fight trained actors such as Josh Hartnett for movie roles.

Suitable for actors, stunt performers, fighters and martial artists. 

Students will learn Joey's own personal training system, which is optimised not only for screen fighting application but also for sparring and real combat application.  Assisting coaching will be actress and action performer Katrina Durden (Doctor Strange, Red Sonya, Strikeback), who has been Joey's protégé and training partner for the last decade. Through their demonstration & supervision, you'll learn the progressive 'glove on glove' combinations, sparring and contact drills that form the essential foundation of  the system. A high emphasis is placed on correct technical and aesthetic performance of techniques. Once these fundamentals are mastered, the potential for limitless skill acquisition and versatility will be unlocked in you.

Whether you are a relative beginner or very experienced, the class will be tailored to extract progression in you.  

*Bring boxing gloves and/or wraps if you have them!

*SAFETY NOTICE*

This is a contact based class. Sensible training practice and safety measures are taken with boxing gloves, matted floors, clear communication and a progressive build up of tempo and force. Students understand that accidents and unintended hard contact may still happen (as with any contact sport). Students will have to sign a waiver before being able to take part.
