SDPC Graduation Party 2026

We are excited to invite you to the 2026 SDPC Graduation Party, celebrating the achievements of our newest graduate, Susmita Thukral, LMFT!

This special event will honor Susmita's dedication and hard work as she reaches this significant milestone in her analytic journey. Her graduation reflects not only her clinical growth but her perseverance and dedication to the deep, often challenging work of becoming a psychoanalyst. We're delighted to celebrate this achievement with her and with all of you who have supported her along the way.

This special event will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at 5:30 pm at the home of Alan and Julie Sugarman. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can get a count for the caterer!

The graduation ceremony will start promptly at 6:30 PM.

We look forward to celebrating with all of you and honoring our graduate!

We'll also be using this special occasion to recognize Dan Gardner, MD, and Haig Koshkarian, MD, for their hard work capturing more than 50 years of SDPC's history, in written form and as an AI audio narrative. It was Dr. Gardner's vision to document this history for future generations, preserving the founders' mission when they established SDPC. The result is an accurate depiction of our organization's story. Dr. Koshkarian helped bring it to fruition. The history traces SDPC's evolution from a small, tightly-knit local study group into a respected voice in the national psychoanalytic community, capturing the personalities and relationships that have shaped our institute along the way. Dr. Koshkarian will give a short talk on the project's background, including the time and effort spent interviewing individuals to ensure an accurate depiction of our history.
