What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening 50-minute film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film there will be a chance for discussion in small groups about what it means for our community and what we can do locally followed by the opportunity to ask our two guest speakers questions. 

Prof Chris Merchant, Professor in Ocean and Earth observation, University of Reading and Local Campaigner and ex-WBC Climate Lead Katrin Harding will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on what we can do next.

We have invited Stephen Conway & his local council colleagues and Clive Jones, MP for Wokingham to join us for this event. We are optimistic that they will join with constituents for this important discussion about our future. Please feel free to extend the invite to them again via email so that they can see how many constituents would like to see them attend. 

Seats are free but limited so registration is essential.
