'Networking'. It's one of the most 'ick'-inducing obligations of generating opportunity; it feels transactional, inauthentic – but when building the career of your dreams, it's a must. With seasonal festivities just around the corner, it's the perfect time to brush up on your talking skills before the office Christmas party!
In this new workshop by Isabel Sachs, the founder of I LIKE NETWORKING, you will learn how to turn working a room into an art form – and perhaps even begin to enjoy it! We'll cover:
- The purpose of networking – and challenges that may arise;
- How we connect as people and professionals;
- Best practise and etiquette for networking online;
- How to craft an elevator pitch and make sure you get your message across;
- How to handle rejection, reframe it as redirection, and assess your USP;
- How to connect IRL.
As with all our events, there will also be the chance to ask your own questions both live and in advance.

Meet The Speaker
Isabel Sachs is the founder of I LIKE NETWORKING. With over 20 years of experience in the creative industries, she worked on a variety of organizations and serviced clients such as Converse, Red Bull and Lollapalooza. She was listed as one of the top 21 most influential women by Startups Magazine, won the D&Ad and Lovie awards and is one of the Dots 100 Rising Stars.
Types Of Ticket
Live Ticket: Select a live ticket if you'd like to watch the session live. You'll receive a Zoom link to join when you order. Don't worry if your plans change though – we will also send you a copy of the recording and session notes via email. This is normally 24-48 hours after the session to allow time for us to edit the recording.
Watch Back / Recorded: If you just want to watch back, please select a recorded ticket. This allows us to keep a handle on numbers and make sure we have enough seats around our virtual table. Again, no worries if you change your mind, you will still be sent the Zoom link, so no need to let us know if your plans change. You will typically be sent the recording 24-48 hours after the live session, to give our team time to edit.
