Description
Social media is one of the biggest tools at our disposal as journalists, but it can sometimes feel overwhelming to know what you should be using and how. In this new workshop from award-winning social media journalist Chandni Sembhi, we'll be looking at which platforms you should get to grips with in 2022, how you can use them to to find and promote stories, and general best practice.
We'll be covering:
- What key social networks you should be focusing on as a journalist in 2022,
- How these networks differ and how you would promote stories differently on various platforms,
- Using social media as a tool for sourcing stories and reaching out to sources,
- General tips, tools, and best practice for using social media as a journalist.
As ever, tickets to this event cost just £4, and all of them include a copy of the recording to watch back, as well as workshop notes and resources mentioned. If costs are a barrier, or you are from a background underrepresented within the media, please do get in touch.

Again, no worries if you change your mind, you will still be sent the Zoom link, so no need to let us know if your plans change. You will typically be sent the recording 24-48 hours after the live session, to give our team time to edit.
