Mon 21 Aug 2023 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM BST
Online, Zoom
Description
A lot of journalists dream of getting a book published one day, but if you're unsure how the (somewhat elusive) publishing industry works, it can often feel like an unattainable goal. In this new workshop, we'll be shining a light on how the world of publishing works — with insight from somebody who has tonnes of industry experience.
In this brand new hour-long workshop we'll look at:
- The whole publication process — from the idea to getting your book published;
- Different types of book writing you might want to explore as a journalist;
- How to write a great proposal — what you should and shouldn't include;
- Whether or not you need an agent;
- Writing timelines — finding the time to actually write a whole book.
