Wild Women in the Woods (Love Her Wild)
Sat 10 May 2025 09:30 - 17:30 BST
The Woods, Bramley, Surrey, GU5 0LA
Description
If you like the sound of forest school for grown-ups & need some balm for your soul, then join us for a one-day introduction to foraging & woodland skills.
You'll delve into the abundance of wild spring edible plants, gathering as you go to brew up wild tea; learn to recognize native trees & understand their traditional uses; wander the woodland collecting tinder and kindling, hone your fire-lighting skills, get hands-on with a bushcraft knife and enjoy the therapeutic practice of whittling.
Learn new skills, feel connection and camaraderie around the campfire & connect with nature - there'll be plenty of time for chats, relaxing amongst the trees and just enjoying the woods with a cup of foraged tea in your hands.
No previous experience is required. This course is ideal for beginners to bushcraft or those wanting to refresh and practice their woodland skills.
This workshop is also an ideal skills introduction for those women wanting to join the Love Her Wild Rewilding Weekend in Devon in June (click here for more info on that).
Plenty of hot drinks, foraged cake & a light lunch (for example wild garlic scones & spring greens soup) included.
